Meet the author

"He's quite a writer"
Patrick Neate author of 'City of Tiny Lights' and 'Jerusalem'.

My articles have featured in a range of titles, including The Leicester Mercury, Disorder Magazine and Whats on Stage. My short story 'The Gift' was published in Read This Magazine.

I work as an Advertising Account Director for a leading communications agency, which is in The Drum magazine's Top 100 Agencies in the country.

I am involved in running Litopia Writers Colony, the Internet's oldest and most significant online writing community. I am a moderator and manage the colony's Twitter account, for which I won a Golden Twit award at the first award ceremony for excellence in use of social media. Litopia's Twitter account has 8500 followers and is growing week on week.

I am a regular panelist on Litopia After Dark, the world's largest podcast for writers, with over 25,000 listeners worldwide. Additionally I am on the editorial committee and am a feature contributor to Litopia's  Muse e-zine, which is distributed to a list of over 30,000, including colony members, podcast listeners and a list of the world’s top publishers and agents.

I am an active blogger, writing for my agency, Writing East Midlands and personally about the books that I read.

My current project is a novel called 'Of Blood and Lines'. I have been allocated a mentor through the Writing East Midlands, a body funded by the Arts Council. Tim Clare, author of 'We can't all be astronauts' is working with me on polishing the final draft of the novel prior to submissions.

I am a prolific writer with a large and growing platform. I understand the importance of author branding and have in place the infrastructure and experience to market myself and my work in conjunction with a potential publisher's efforts.
